Hsu Jiahui reported in Taipei
The one with too small eyes must be sheared by eye end prior to laser near sighted operation. The new Intralase Femtosecond laser operation does not adopt the blade, and the eyesight is easily corrected only by narrowing one’s eyes. Mr. Chang Chaokai, the Nobel master, remarked that Intralase is not only suitable to the small eyes, but also can lower 90% of the complications, nevertheless, its price is doubled traditional laser operation. If the laser light spot is used to evenly cut the cornea flap, it can avoid 90% complications as infections and uneven thickness, etc of Micro-keratome. It can also reduce the xerophthalmia, within 20seconds the cornea flap can be cut to complete the operation within 5 min, nevertheless the cost of two eyes operation is NT$ 80,000-100,000.
